What languages does LinguaFor support?
LinguaFor supports 137 languages, including all major world languages like English, Spanish, Chinese, Arabic, Hindi, and many more. We use both DeepL (29 premium languages) and Google Translate (108+ languages) to provide the best quality for each language pair.
How does AI Translation mode work?
AI Translation uses Claude AI to provide context-aware translations. Unlike standard machine translation, AI mode understands tone, context, and cultural nuances. You can select formal/informal tone, provide context about your text, and even define custom glossaries for consistent terminology.
Is LinguaFor free to use?
Yes! The Free plan gives you 5,000 characters per day at no cost, with no credit card required. For higher volumes, our paid plans start at just €9.99/month with 500,000 characters.
What document formats are supported?
LinguaFor supports PDF, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, TXT, and SRT subtitle files. Documents are translated while preserving the original formatting, and you can download the translated version in the same format.
How accurate are the translations?
We route each translation to the best provider for that language pair. DeepL is used for European languages where it excels, Google Translate for broader language coverage, and AI mode for context-sensitive translations. This multi-provider approach ensures the highest possible quality.
Can I translate entire websites?
Yes! With the Pro plan and above, you can paste any URL and get the full page translated. The original and translated versions are displayed side by side for easy comparison.
Do you offer an API?
Yes, our Business plan includes API access with dedicated API keys, rate limiting, and comprehensive documentation. You can integrate LinguaFor translations directly into your applications.
Is there a Chrome extension?
We are developing a Chrome extension that allows you to select text on any webpage and get instant translations. It will be available with the Business plan.
How is my data handled?
We take privacy seriously. Your translations are processed in real-time and are not stored permanently unless you explicitly save them to your translation history. We never use your content for training purposes.
Can I cancel my subscription anytime?
Absolutely. All paid plans are month-to-month with no long-term commitment. You can cancel, upgrade, or downgrade at any time from your account settings.
